SIDNEY - Butler cruised to a 10-0 win over Sidney Tuesday afternoon, as the Aviators improved to 10-1 overall and 8-0 in the Miami Valley League.
Butler racked up an impressive eleven hits, and defensively surrendered just one hit to the host Yellow Jackets.
Senior southpaw Quinton Hall (4-0) earned the win for Butler, putting together 4.2 strong innings with eight strikeouts. The EKU commit continued his impressive showing on the mound this spring.
Freshman Jordan Taylor (4K) came on in relief and held the Jackets hitless through 2.1 innings of work. Taylor sat down six in-a-row in what was another solid appearance for the Aviators.
Boston Smith (2 RBI) and Cason Bennett (1 RBI) each doubled. Mike Masters had two hits and an RBI.
Carson Clark added two RBI, while Matt Heeter, Kaden Echeman and Dylan Hartman each added an RBI in the win.
Butler returns to action on Friday at home, hosting the Troy Trojans in what will be a key MVL match-up. First pitch is set for 5:00 pm.
