FAIRBORN - The Aviators completed their sweep of Fairborn Tuesday evening with a 14-1, run-rule win over the Skyhawks in six innings.
Evan Ables (5-0) remained perfect on the bump, pitching five innings while striking out six and allowed no earned runs. Kyle Myers came on in relief and retired the side in sixth, notching one strikeout.
Offensively sophomores Hunter Richardson (1-for-2, 2B) and Mason Reckner (1-for-2) paced Butler with 3 RBI each. Brody Miller went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and a double, while Jayden Watkins went 2-for-3 with a RBI and double.
Max Rubins finished 2-for-4 with a RBI, Austin Flohre doubled and Adam Townsend and Mitch Strehle each added a RBI in the win.
Butler (12-5, 7-3) returns to action on Wednesday, hosting West Carrollton at 5:00 pm.
