FAIRBORN - The runs continued to come in buckets for the Aviators Tuesday afternoon, as Butler topped host Fairborn 10-0, in a six-inning run-rule.
The win lifted Butler to 16-2, 13-1 on the season.
The Aviators outhit the Skyhawks eleven to one, thanks in large part to another gem of a performance by pitcher Kaden Echeman (6-0). The senior righty went the distance with six strikeouts.
At the plate, Boston Smith hit his league leading fifth homerun and tripled to highlight a 2-for-3, two RBI day.
Freshman Austin Flohre remained clutch, adding a double and three RBI.
Carson Clark went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Mike Masters finished 2-for-4.
Butler will be back in action on Friday at Xenia - with the first pitch scheduled for 5:00 pm.
