VANDALIA - Butler (3-1,2-1) rolled in a 9-1 win over visiting Stebbins.
Senior righty Evan Ables (1-0) earned the win from the bump, working three innings of hitless baseball. Ables notched four strikeouts in his appearance.
Sophomore Mason Reckner ( 2IP, 2H, 1ER, 1K) and senior Cayden Borchers (2 IP, 1H, 6K) were solid in relief for Butler.
Junior Austin Flohre (1-for-3, 2 RBI) and sophomore Max Rubins (2-for-4, 3R, 2 RBI) each doubled in the win. Sophomore Russ Stratman and Hunter Richardson each also added 2 RBI for the Aviators.
Butler will hit the road and return to action on April 3rd with a doubleheader at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC.
