Aviators Wallop West Carrollton 13-0

VANDALIA — There was no need for late-inning drama today.

Butler continued its steady march through the Miami Valley League on Friday, turning in another all-around performance in a 13–0 shutout of West Carrollton.

With five shutout innings from sophomore Tate Richardson and a lineup that delivered up and down the order, the Aviators rolled to remain unbeaten at 11–0, 6-0.

Richardson was in control from the first pitch.

The right-hander scattered one hit over five innings, struck out seven, and allowed just two baserunners. His fastball set the tone, but it was his ability to locate and change speeds that kept the Pirates off balance all evening.

Offensively, Butler waited patiently, but once the gates opened, the Aviators poured it on.

A sacrifice fly from Hunter Richardson (1-for-3, 2 RBI, double) in the third put Butler on the board, and they broke the game wide open in the sixth. Six hits turned into six runs, with RBI contributions from Koby Dues, Paxton Dwenger, Tate Richardson, Coby Holland, and Declan Scheffler.

Jackson Schilling stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Dues and Davis Ketterer (2-for-4, triple) each drove in a pair. Brody Miller added three stolen bases to lead an aggressive night on the basepaths.

Butler played error-free defense and turned to senior Will Kitchen to close it out. The right-hander struck out the side in the sixth, preserving the shutout and putting the finishing touch on another lopsided win for the Aviators.

Butler will be back in action Monday for the series finale, hosting West Carrollton at home.
