VANDALIA - The Aviators (4-0, 3-0) remained red-hot Friday afternoon, beating Stebbins 12-2 in five innings of play. The win is Butler's fourth straight, and third consecutive run-rule victory.
The Aviators were paced on the mound by sophomore Evan Ables who pitched four scoreless innings, striking out four. Freshman Jordan Taylor came on in relief in the fifth inning and sat the Indians down in order.
At the plate Butler was led by seniors Kaden Echeman and Bitty Hendricks who had multiple hits and combined for four RBI. Echeman also added a double.
Senior Dylan Hartman had a double and three RBI, while senior Boston Smith added a triple and an RBI.
The Aviators will look to keep their streak alive on Saturday as they host Miamisburg (2-0) at 12:00 pm in a battle of undefeated.
