Butler Hangs On To Top Coldwater 13-10

VANDALIA - It wasn't pretty - but a bounce back win against a quality opponent needs no style points. For the Aviators, the 13-10 win over Coldwater Saturday afternoon was just what they needed after Friday's heartbreaker against Troy.

It was a hitfest - as both teams combined for 24-hits, 17 of which came off of Butler bats.

Quinton Hall led the Aviators at the plate, going 4-for-4 with an RBI. Bryce Echeman went 2-for-3 with a triple and Mike Masters had three RBI.

Carson Clark, Jayden Watkins, Boston Smith and Cason Bennett each added multiple hits in the win.

Bennett also came through on the mound for Butler, earning the win with three solid innings of two-hit baseball. Bennett held the Cavs hitless and struck out four.

The Aviators will look to avenge Friday's loss to the Trojans with a trip to Troy on Monday for the series finale. First pitch is set for 5:00 pm at the historic Market Street field.
