VANDALIA - In a game that took 16 innings and a week to complete, the Aviators plated 4 crucial runs in the top of 16th inning to claim a key win in Game One. Hunter Richardson (6-0) earned the win, striking out 10.
Richardson also delivered at the plate with three hits and an RBI. Gage Harestad , Cayden Borchers (1 RBI) and Jayden Watkins each had two hits.
Joe Mendy, Cason Bennett and Josh Morris each added an RBI in the win.
The win propels Butler to 19-4, 14-2 as the two teams prepare to do battle once again at 6:45 pm.
